Upgrade KIT II for XSTART E-Starter, start button only works in neutral position with ignition switched on

Our upgrade kit makes the electric starter from Nuts & Bolts (see item 41851-XT/41851-XT-12/41851-SR1/41851-SR2) even more suitable for everyday use.

The kit is attached to the tachometer wiring harness (e.g. item 41764/41764LED) using Y-connectors and ensures that the electric starter can only be used when the ignition is switched on and idling.

The black housing of the button, which is only 10 mm thick, fits between the handlebar switch and the brake bracket. The red start button is easy to reach with the thumb. The switch relay we use works with 12V only, so unfortunately the upgrade kit cannot be combined with the original XT500 6V electrics.

To install the kit, simply remove the seat and tank and open the headlight housing. The electrical connection is made via two Y-connectors, no soldering or crimping is required.
